OneClickRemix is a Chrome extension that helps Etsy print-on-demand sellers create a new, niche-specific product inspired by an existing listing: it analyses a design, proposes a creative prompt, generates image variants, upscales the chosen design, and drafts Etsy listing text. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles, why, and how long it is kept.
1. What the extension accesses
When you click “Remix” on an Etsy product page, OneClickRemix reads information that is already visible on that page:
- the listing title,
- the main product image URL, and
- the listing tags shown on the page.
This data is used only to produce your remix. The extension does not read other browser tabs, your browsing history, or pages on other websites.
2. What we process and where
To generate a remix, the product image and the metadata above are sent to the OneClickRemix backend, which acts as a secure proxy to the AI services that do the work. API keys for these services belong to OneClickRemix and are never stored in the extension or exposed to you. The AI providers we use as data processors are:
- OpenAI — design analysis, creative prompt, and Etsy listing text.
- Replicate — image upscaling to print resolution.
These providers process the content only to return a result to you. We do not authorise them to use your content to train their models where an opt-out is available, and we do not send them any personal account credentials.
3. Local storage on your device
During a remix, intermediate results are kept in
chrome.storage.local — a private storage area on your own
computer — so the flow can survive if the browser pauses the extension.
This includes the current step, the generated image variants, the
upscaled image reference, and the drafted listing text.
- Generated images are held as temporary data (or as a short-lived provider URL for the upscaled version) so you can preview and download them.
- These artifacts are automatically cleared when you start a new remix, and can also be cleared manually. They are never sent anywhere except to the processing services described above.
4. Connected accounts (OAuth)
A future version of OneClickRemix will let you connect your own Etsy and Gelato accounts to publish products directly. When that feature is enabled and you choose to connect an account:
-
the OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only in
chrome.storage.localon your device, - they are used solely to perform the actions you request (for example, creating a draft listing), and
- they are removed when you disconnect the account.
Account connection is not active in the current version; the
identity permission is declared in preparation for it.
5. Permissions and why we need them
storage— keep the remix flow state and results on your device.scripting/tabs— add the Remix button and side panel to the Etsy page you are viewing.downloads— let you save the generated design and mockups.identity— reserved for future account connection (OAuth).
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
- We do not collect analytics on your browsing activity.
- We do not access pages outside the Etsy listing you choose to remix.
7. Data retention
Remix artifacts live on your device only for the duration of a remix and are cleared when the next remix begins. Content sent to processing providers is retained only as long as needed to return your result, subject to each provider’s own retention policy.
8. Children
OneClickRemix is a tool for online sellers and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
